The Burnt Soul’ was created during my university days at MacEwan, at a time when I was beginning to see how deep the scars of human destruction run across the earth. Using fragmented textures and deep, burnt tones, I tried to capture how nature’s life and vibrancy are slowly stripped away. This piece wasn’t just about beauty — it was about acknowledging the damage we’ve done, and asking what might be left behind when the burning stops.
